On July 1, Messer Schweiz AG introduced a new hydrogen filling station at its headquarters in Lenzburg, Aargau. This station is unique because it operates without making noise or vibrations, a feature not seen in traditional hydrogen stations. It uses waste heat to power its compressor, avoiding the need for extra electricity.

This development highlights Aargau’s leadership in hydrogen technology, according to Hans Michael Kellner, CEO of Messer Schweiz AG. The station’s design allows it to be placed even in residential areas since it requires no separate building or soundproofing measures. This setup is already approved and ready for market use.

The technology for the station was created by GRZ Technologies, a company born from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne. The launch event was attended by government officials, researchers, and business leaders, some of whom are interested in using this new type of filling station.
