Holcim US aggregates operations in Massachusetts, Illinois, West Virginia, Minnesota, and Oklahoma have received commendation from the National Stone, Sand, and Gravel Association (NSSGA) for their exceptional environmental and community initiatives. This acknowledgment is part of NSSGA’s annual Awards of Excellence Program, underscoring the crucial role aggregates play in the construction industry.

The awarded locations were recognized for outstanding community relations and environmental excellence. NSSGA praised their comprehensive environmental management programs, commitment to land conservation, adherence to technical environmental and regulatory requirements, and active community involvement.
Holcim currently has five facilities, including Presque Isle Quarry and Peabody Quarry, enjoying an extended recognition period. Facilities in the Gold category, like these two, receive automatic recognition for five years. NSSGA initiated the Awards of Excellence Program to honor aggregate producers positively impacting the industry’s public perception and operational practices.
