Holcim, one of the leading providers of building materials and solutions, has announced the acquisition of Sivyer Logistics, a prominent producer of recycled construction and demolition waste (CDW) in the London construction market. Sivyer Logistics is responsible for handling approximately one million tonnes of materials annually using cutting-edge recycling and recovery technologies to reclaim over 500,000 tons of recycled aggregates and manufactured soils. Holcim’s acquisition of Sivyer Logistics is another significant step towards promoting circular construction practices to make cities more sustainable.
Miljan Gutovic, the Regional Head of Europe, expressed his excitement about the acquisition, stating, “Sivyer Logistics is a fantastic addition that will help us drive circular construction and reach our goal of recycling ten million tonnes of construction and demolition waste by 2025. I am looking forward to welcoming all employees of Sivyer Logistics and investing in our next phase of growth together.”
Founded in 1862, Sivyer Logistics operates six facilities across London, offering an array of services, including waste management, vehicle logistics, manufactured soils, primary and recycled aggregates, and ready-mix concrete.
This acquisition is expected to further advance Holcim’s ambitious sustainability targets under its “Strategy 2025 – Accelerating Green Growth,” particularly its objective to recycle ten million tons of construction and demolition waste in its products by 2025.
